Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Teeth that appear naturally white is a good confidence booster. Sometimes, teeth may get stained or discolored. Teeth discoloration may be the result of smoking tobacco, consuming colored beverages such as tea, coffee, cola, and red wine.

Cosmetic dental solutions such as teeth whitening can help remove signs of discoloration and enhance the color of your enamel. Dentists now use an advanced method of whitening teeth known as Zoom! Teeth whitening.

What is Zoom! Teeth Whitening?

The Zoom! advanced teeth whitening is an in-office cosmetic dental procedure. It helps lighten and enhance the color of the enamel. Advanced Zoom! Teeth Whitening accelerates the bleaching process. Zoom! Teeth whitening contains hydrogen peroxide, which upon breaking, would release oxygen molecules that would act on the stains of the enamel. This offers activated teeth whitening that bleaches the enamel, removing stains and discoloration.

Planning the Procedure

Before the procedure, the dentist would conduct a comprehensive examination of the teeth and gums to ensure that they are in good health. This would help determine whether the patient is the right candidate for the procedure.

During the dental examination, the dentist would also evaluate your restorations, such as crowns, veneers, and other dental work that may require whitening.

The entire Zoom! Teeth Whitening procedure wouldn't take longer than one hour. Before the process, the dentist would prepare the teeth by cleaning its surface and ensuring that the gums are free of food particles and debris.

The Zoom! Teeth Whitening Procedure

The dentist would prepare the teeth and apply the Hydrogen Peroxide whitening gel on the surface of the enamel. The gel would be allowed to rest on its surface for about 15 minutes and activated with a UV laser light.

Aftercare Instructions

After the procedure, the patient would be given Zoom! Teeth Whitening home-kits along with custom-fitting whitening trays so that they can continue maintaining the color of their teeth from home. To avoid further chances of staining, the dentist would advise that patients prevent certain types of food and beverages such as tea, coffee, red wine, etc. Patients may also avoid smoking, as tobacco stains are hard to remove.
